As the COVID pandemic is still very active and GSV wishes to conduct in-person service in a safe manner, the following is the mask policy for our church until further notice.
- All persons entering the premise will wear a face mask covering the nose, mouth and chin at all times unless they meet the following exceptions.
- Exceptions to wearing face masks:
- The preacher preaching in the pulpit behind the plexiglass.
- Any person consuming the bread and wine during the Holy Eucharist.
- Any person consuming food or drinks in the Church Hall. It is recommended that masks be worn during socialization while a person is not eating or drinking.
- Singspiration team singers singing the Sanctuary during a worship with individual microphones and at least 10 ft. away from the closest parishioner seated in front.
- Choir members recording anthems used in worship services with no other persons present. They will keep a distance of at least 6 ft. if masks are not worn.
- Preachers or Sunday School leaders delivering Children Talk during worship services if they are at least 10 ft. away from the nearest audience. Even in that case, a clear face shield or clear plastic face mask is strongly recommended.
- Any priest or staff working in his/ her own office alone.
- Any special situation approved by the Wardens on the recommendation of the Health Officers.
- Anyone engaging in aerobic exercise such as playing ping pong. Masks should be worn while not actively playing.
- Masks are required for Scripture readers, intercessors, and those making announcements since multiple people speak at the same microphone one after the other.
- In any situation where masks are removed, adequate ventilation and air purification should be provided.
